Thermocutter caters to a niche market in the northern European countries where Styrofoam is extensively used in flooring construction as a heat insulator. This cutter is used to cut channels and joints in the Styrofoam for underfloor wires and pipelines. With a European company, Advandes developed a thermocutter for the European market with an objective to improve user safety and enhance the experience of operating. The product uses Stainless Steel (SS 304) blades as the heating element which provides a clean and dust free cut. The main parts of the cutter include: The Grab Handle, Safety Switch , Trigger (heating switch), Blades, Blade Holder, Extension stem and the Allen Key.

The trigger that heats the blades has a safety lock to prevent accidents and ensure user safety. The Adjustable Blade Holder accommodates blades of different profiles and sizes. The blade changing process is engineered to minimize the time and effort involved. The allen key needed to tighten/ loosen the screws is snapped on the thermocutter stem to avoid misplacement.
